How To Hide A Wall Post

The 1861 unification of Italy

King's speech
the first sitting of Parliament
Claudio Mercatali

The events in Italy in the mid-nineteenth century was frantic and exciting: In 1859 the Austro-Hungarian Empire was defeated itto the War of Independence and Emilia and Tuscany voted joining the Savoy monarchy. A year later, Garibaldi demolished the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies in 1861 and thus was fulfilled at last the desired unit. On 18 February 1861 met for the first Once the new Parliament of Italy, in Turin, because in Rome there was the Papal Government. The session was memorable and so is described in the manifestos of the time:

"At 11 am the morning session
ane LL. AA. RR. (Their Royal Highnesses) the Prin prince of Piedmont and the Duke of Aosta, and soon after His Majesty, are input into the new hall of the House amid the enthusiastic cheers of the lords of Senators and Deputies, and a great competition people and the cries of Long live the King of Italy the Sen ers and deputies take the oath. SM voice vibrated and the sum, this speech:

senator! Ladies and gentlemen! Free for almost all combined to wonderful help of Divine Providence, for unanimous desire of the people and for the wonderful value of hosts, Italy is confident in the virtue and wisdom you. To you it belongs to give the common institutions and stable structure. In allocating more administrative freedom to people who had different customs and orders, assure that political unity, sigh of many centuries, can never be diminished
(Bravo! Bravissimo! ). The opinion of the civilized people we are propitious, there are conducive to equitable and liberal principles that should prevail in the councils of Europe. Italy will become for her a guaranty of order and pa there, and return effective instrument of the universal civilization (Loud applause) . The French Emperor, confirming maximum of non-intervention extremely beneficial to us, however, estimated to recall his envoy. If this fact was the cause of regret, it did not alter the feelings of gratitude, nor faith in his affection to the Italian cause (Loud applause) . France and Italy that took them to the Community s tirpe, traditions, customs, shook the fields of Magenta and Solferino a node that is indissoluble (vivid applause) .
King Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy

The Government and the people of England, the birthplace of the ancient freedom, highly affirmed our right to be arbiters of their fate, and there were large comfortable offices, which will last the undying gratitude
memory (Sustained applause) . Ascended the throne of Prussia, a loyal and illustrious Princi eg, I sent an ambassador to a sign of honor to him and sympathy for the noble nation of Germany, which, I hope, will be increasingly in the conviction that Italy, set up in its natural unity, can not offend the rights or interests of other nations. Senators Lords, Ladies and gentlemen! I am sure you will get reminders on my government to provide ways to make the arms of earth and sea (Bravo! Good) . So the Kingdom of Italy placed in a position not to fear injury, will be more easily into the consciousness of the forces of reason 'appropriate caution. Another time my word sounded daring, being wise, so I dare to time, as the wait time (Applause) . Devoted to Italy but I have not hesitated to the trial to life and the Crown, but no man has the right to attempt the life and destiny of a nation ( Most vivid signs of assent) . After many victories reported, the Italian army, growing every day in fame, she obtained a new way of conquering glory of the most formidable fortress (Applause) . I console myself in thinking that the series ended forever the painful conflicts of our civil (vivid signs of assent) . The naval armada has demonstrated in the waters of Ancona and Gaeta in Italy to relive the sailors of Pisa, Genoa and Venice (Applause) . A talented youth, led by a Captain to fill in his name that the most distant lands, made clear that neither slavery nor earned a long woes unnerve the fiber of the Italian people. These facts have inspired the nation a great confidence in their own destinies. I am pleased to express to the first Parliament of Italy, the joy that I feel my soul the King and Soldier (Hi fragorosissima of unanimous and sustained applause) .

SM bo
cca Minister of the Interior opened the first parliamentary session for the year 1861. New and warm applause and cheers resound to the King of Italy in the room at the exit of His Majesty and TRH The meeting is dissolved at eleven and three quarters.

Here beside the Palazzo Carignano in Turin, which was the first parliament building of the Kingdom.

The "Royal March" was written in 1831 in honor of Carlo Alberto. From 1860 to 1946 was the anthem of Italy, then was replaced with the 'Inno di Mameli:

... Long live the King, long live the king, long live the King
trumpets joyful ring
long live the king, long live the King, long live the King
echo with the songs they ...

Roma is the only Italian city that has not only municipal memory, the whole history of Rome from the time of the Caesars to the present day, is the story of a city whose importance extends infinitely beyond its territory, a city that is destined to be the capital of a great state
. Convinced, deeply convinced of this truth, I believe in duty to proclaim it in the most solemn in front of you, before the nation, and I am in fact obliged to do in this appeal to the patriotism of all citizens of Italy and representatives of the most illustrious of her cities, to cease any discussion about it, so that we we can say to Europe, so that whoever has the honor to represent this country in the face of foreign powers, can say: the necessity of having Rome as its capital is acknowledged and affirmed by the entire nation. " The freedom of the Church ... "I said, gentlemen, and say once again that Rome, Rome itself, must be the capital of Italy. But here begin the difficulties of the response to Mr interpellante, (silence) .

Camillo Benso, Count Cavour

We have to go to Rome, but on two conditions, we have to go there together with France, also without the meeting of this city to the rest of Italy can be interpreted by Catholics in Italy and abroad, as the signal for the servants of the Church. We must, that is, going to Rome, nor does this the true independence of the Pontiff to be impaired. We have to go to Rome without the civil authority to extend its spiritual power on the order. Here are two conditions that must occur for us to go to Rome without endangering the fate of Italy. "
(Excerpt from speech of March 25, 1861 to Parliament for the Italian capital Rome).

The announcement on 17 March 1861 signed the King and Cavour law proclaiming the Kingdom of Italy:

Vittorio Emanuele II, King of Sardinia, Cyprus and Jerusalem, etc, etc, etc. .... The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies have approved;
We have sanctioned and promulgate the following:

Sole article. King Vittorio Emanuele II assumes for himself and his successors the title of King of Italy. We order that the present, bearing the seal of the State, to be included in the collection of the Acts of the Government sending anyone up to observe and enforce it as law of the State.

And even with labile step
c'incamminiamo on ashen meadows

This measure has the stunned silence

It is the widespread havoc around

But we will return to each port tacit.

Memories of Happy Ant onio Fabroni
(1730 to 1777)
of Luis Calderon

The palace of Archiroli,
now owned by Ceroni,
was built in the seventeenth century by Fabroni

Fabbroni appointed Angelo his heirs separately by the owner 'usufructuary:

  • Catherine wife of Ludovico Fabbrini, had 60 crowns per year.
  • Rosa was the ' usufructuary heir of all property of Angelo.
  • Fabbroni Alexander, his cousin, was the 'heirs and owner. This was also the will of Jacinta Fabbroni, mother of Angelo. He will become full owner only after the death of Rosa!

Felice Antonio, father of Alexander was not at all happy about this, because in practice the bare ownership gave his son a large quantity of goods that does not do anything, and complained in his memoirs:

How Antonio Felice, a cousin of Monsignor Angelo loses the direct line established by the Commanders Angelo .... and some gossip about my lord ....

March 29, 1793 " That memory was pulled from me to Literam Carlo Felice Antonio Hector Antonio Fabroni from the stone that served as a step above the table of our altar dedicated to St. Peter in Chains, which existed in the church altar to Dean of Marradi Cornu epistolae before it was demolished the old church, which the church was demolished in the year 1741 and turned to stone and blessed the new church on the day and September 17, 1744 relics are the foundation to the west, under the ground in about seven arms (NOTE: the complete reconstruction of the church in 1780. Happy Here it refers to previous work, or the memory deceives him). You say why not redo my posterity in the Church nova sudd.o the altar and I will say that you wanted to call home in the obligation of having to maintain throughout the South over the next altar obligation to ensure a number of 104 harvest year, and this obligation is placed South over the place do Ficaciolo Podere di Sotto left by Alexander Julius Fabbroni as deed of James Venturini and then the codicil made by South Med deed done for Dr. Charles Fabroni. But then divided in the year 1721 followed by Ettore my father with his two brothers, Fabio and Alessandro ie, all three sons of the late Charles Hector Antonio Fabroni were divided again in the third that number of Masses, in sich Dr. Hector, my father, he touched only made number 34 in No. 70 and the other touched the other two brothers South sodisfatto do now is put Alessandro Fabroni obligation of 70, my cousin brother.

What remained to be the last male of that family of Alexander founded a Commando the Cross of St. Stephen on the farm said Road logo placed in the City of Scola Vicariate of Marradi estimated that farm this day March 29 the year 1793 to 7000 crowns. And that paragraph called the line of Francis Fabroni et Archiroli appointed in the first logo that Jacob's son Francis and until then will become of this family, and over that line in the second logo or family name is my line and lineage.

posterity because you say my brother's cousin told you how Monsignor Felix Anthony, as eldest son of that Dr. Hector, maternal uncle of the said lord, do not call you or your children in the first logo in that paragraph as it should and for justice and it was agreed not to call a cross line. I will tell you that the said Francis Fabroni Archiroli of the double death of Anna Fabroni Alexander, daughter, wife Aurelia Leonori filming of Volterra, is noble but ugly, small, mold-skinned, big eyes and nose to rain, mouth mad, but cunning and BIRBONA this way of Monseigneur that asshole that he fell in love, and she rubbed the back there, between two times I went back to Florence on the pretext of needing to take a bath, and meanwhile more Foolish bon he fell in love with that ugly witch, who did so much that he founded in that paragraph and appointed his eldest son, first and logo of that witch. In addition then I will tell you that he has appointed the line in second logo I have ne'coglioni and ass because he has done this to save the world following the appearance, not that he wanted to do.

Extract from the memories of Felix Antonio Fabroni (see line 4): "... a noble one, but ugly, small, mold-skinned, big eyes and nose spray ..."

you my posterity will say that this raucous had some displeasure from our house and I will say no, just happy that I do not have my son Alexander and his wife took in homes as well as the noble and cavaleresche bon Foolish is placed quantities of smoke and (...), without thinking that whoever wanted to take Only two ladies there Vole farms like ours, but there Vole many more. And then I will tell you that I applied in Florence for my son Alexander Miss Octavia Advanced of the first House of Florence, I was told that there had difficulty averebbero any device, but felt the small state of our house did tell Bishop cousin if he wanted to pose for one hundred crowns a year to our house, which would end the restocking, but the rascal bon would not hear anything of us but then to keep the family in Florence and in convents by that witch, here did not, and did not have the slightest difficulty, as it still pays the dogina in the convent at Forlì daughter of Giovanni Francesco Fabroni those of the Captain and us nothing ....".

here as a transcription typist these ancient memories I just can not feel bound by some 'gossip ...

The aforementioned Ms. Aureli Leonora Because so much wrath from Volterra in Mr. Felix Antonio Fabbroni that describes not only ugly but also as a witch and one of the causes of his misfortunes hereditary. This lady must have been a "friend" of particular importance for the Monsignor that PUE as of obligations church does not seem to scorn the earthly pleasures and not immune to the temptations feminine ...

Angelo Mention may also be in its Testament which states that the heirs of "... all the paintings and prints all of its relevance to the time that it will be found in Mr testator of his home two houses in the cities of Pisa and Florence except for the painting of etc etc. ..... "

S u brother Silvano, four years old was always a Camaldolensian and intent to study. Inve there Serafino, a Dominican friar, half turned to Italy, because he was an able preacher, with imagination in the interpretation and ease of speech. The two brothers had a reputation as writers, to be alive and even after, so that in the nineteenth here p OUNTRY v year-old in their called a road, Razzi fact, you almost cts call "streda nova." Now we will read some passages from the "Garden of EXAMPLE, or Flowers of the lives of the Saints," which describes Serafino de the facts that he provides as truly acc Adut to sinners of all types. But in reality, his tales are nothing more than the kind of imaginative dishes that used to capture the attention of the faithful during the sermons. The key to what follows is that, because between you Dominican preachers were professional and kept no Serb in a series of anecdotes the most o meno facili da capire e ricordare, che usavano a seconda della platea che avevano di fronte. Leggiamo:

  • Il digiuno

"Essendosi fatto religioso un certo nobile giovane, dove prima al secolo era pallido e scolorito, per la sacra astinenza e la vita regolata che si effettuava in quel monasterio, divenne in poco tempo di buon colore, fresco e giocondo ed essendo venuto a visitarlo il Vescovo and seeing him with so good ciera, asked him how he had become so colorful and beautiful. To which the young man said to have been the cause of what he lived in the monastery peroché smoothly and decently. Waves from the uniformity of food and had the decency and health beauty. Bishop Addimandando the quality of the food we had eaten, the young man replied that he had eaten that day and peas and herbe herbe and peas on the day and the other? Herbe, he said, with more seat: "Pisa olèribus cum, cum Olera pisis, pisa Oler et a, et Olera pisa. The bishop acknowledged the proverbs to be true, who say the variety of foods essere pestilenziale e la natura di poco cibo e uniforme più si contenta e si mantiene”.

  • L'usura

  • Heresy

... an Arian bishop (and therefore heretical) tried to organize a fake miracle happened and that ....

"There once was a man who for fifty shields datigli Arrian pretended to be a bishop if he was not blind (abjure heresy) grant from Catholici Bishops, we remain blind to a true ...".

  • murmurs

"As m garden Bishop of Lyons, complained the priest of the church where it was buried because nothing in his will had left and added still very devout priest who had found some good fool the Vesc vo and its s toltezza had eziandio n death she demonstrated, not having anything left to the church where he was buried. But here follows entity night, appearing to the bishop, along with two other bishops said, brothers, this priest and my injury does not consider that the most ù precious thing that I could leave him and that I left the land of my body. And turn the bishop said the priest gave him a lot of murmuring and smacks his fists, a sinner, saying, worthy of punishment.

And saying that she was selling the wine it never asked if you mix water and answering that yes, he said that serious sin is to sell water to wine, and even lying is a sin, and if will have pernicious mortal. "

  • The Hore (= prayer) canonical

"In some churches, the priests chanting the sacred canonical hore a loud voice but without the proper devotion it was seen by that this was a good man, a demon that was in place and noted in his left hand he held a great and long bag and laying it with his right hand picked up the voices of those who cos ì sang and hunted in vain in that bag. Finished the office, and between them boasted that he sang very well and they heard the man say r Eligio the vision he had. "

. .. and laying it with his right hand picked up the voices of those who so vainly singing ...

  • The deacon sinner

"celebrating a solemn Mass the presence of Charlemagne, it happened that the deacon had to tell the Gospel, even though the previous night had sinned with a female, assumed to present at the sacred altar and also tell the Gospel, without having first confessed. And far to tolerate his great impudence and imprudence the Divine goodness, but when it came time to lay hands to Communion, having his hands so unclean and tainted conscience, not pot is the divine vengeance overprinted. In order ragnatello a poisonous climbing down from the stage for a wire his oratory, hurt his lustful deacon over his head, and fell dead on this earth. "

  • Hospitality

"tells Leandro Bologna, a religious of St. Dominic, as a city of Romagna Bertinoro said, were the inhabitants and citizens of that time devoted to 'Hospital, to escape the contention that this' hora above what they were born in between them or, jumping to a square c all unit with lots of iron rings around those who were fathers. And when he was a stranger if havea horse, bound him to a dismantling of the rings and whether the pedestrian was hit and was immediately led to 'hospitia in the house of him whose touch was the ring. "

How Long Does It Take To Make Motorcycle

Mario Luzi in Pienza in 2003

Suda this heat, sweating

Molto è stato.

Point And Shoot With High Shutter Speed

Fabbroni

of Luis Calderon

The first page

The Testament of Monsignor Angelo Fabbroni is kept in the Historical City of Marradi and is a dense 68-page manuscript of which, unfortunately, the first heavily damaged (as shown opposite). Are not known, therefore, neither the name of the notary or the date on which the document was notarized.
Il vero erede Universale Proprietario risulta essere Alessandro di Felice Fabbroni, suo cugino, seguendo le volontà testamentarie di Giacinta Fabbroni, coniugata con Alessandro Fabbroni and mother of Angelo, which will come into full possession of the property only after the death of the heir usufructuary Rosa!

Fabbroni Angelo's birthplace in Marradi

There are no known reasons why he would name his heir Jacinta a nephew, being the mother of 11 children . Likely hypothesis might be that no male has survived, or has had her male heirs, as in the case of Angelo, a man of the Church. The first words read, referring to the ruling house in Tuscany at the time of writing, sono le seguenti:

The bust of Angelo Fabbroni

" Being there is the world's most secure of the death and that the meeting did not give more uncertainty time where she is soon to come, and being wise and prudent thing to the person to think and have a good time of their substance to object to remove and prevent issues that could then be promoted to, so that such things turning in his soul the Illustrious and Most Reverend Monsignor Angelo Cavaliere was the most illustrious Signor Alessandro Nobile di Marradi Fabbroni Patrick Pistoia, current priorities of the Conventual Church of the Knights of St. Stephen Pope and Martyr of City of Pisa, and superintendent of the University of that city, now that is healthy in body, mind, sense, sight, hearing, intellect and speech is has resolved to make consistent and did and does this his last nuncupativo (sic ) testament, which is said sine scriptis in the manner and form following that is ... Here following invocations to God and arrangements for the funeral and for the masses to be said ...

  • "Bound to reason then, and for the validity of this and let his will he left the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore, the usual fee of Three Pounds, and money orders according to the Ten petioles ...".
  • questioned said Mr testator according to the Orders from me Notaro infrascritto for debt my Office, whether it is willing to leave anything to the Congregation of the Poor of San Giovanni Battista of the City of Florence, said they did not feel willing to leave anything ...".
  • "In related Jure et omnis said Mr testator left and left his servant, servants and coachman on the day of his death will His current service, thirty crowns for only once in each one of them who have served for ten whole years and ten crowns, and also for each one only once in one or ones of them will be finished within ten years will said his service to be paid those amounts respectively infrascritti by his executors Lords (James and John, sons of Francesco Domenico Fabbroni, his cousin, as stated later in the text itself) , them with Cash who will be his legacy, or if no such cash with them money to carve dall'infrascritta sale 'on the furniture .... "

The text continues with the petition of the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Angelo can build and establish a religion in the Commandery of the Knights of St. Stephen, Pope and Martyr:

  • "bottom a dowry of about seven thousand shields and to appoint the investiture and Succession in the same order of primogeniture with regular first the sons and male descendants of males in a straight line of the Ill masculina. mo Mr Francesco Domenico was Signor Jacopo Joseph Fabbroni Marradi, noble patricians Pistoia, his cousins \u200b\u200bin line forever to exist infinchè masculina ....
  • Second, and after the extinction of the male line of the above Sir Francis Dominic Fabbroni said again, the sons and male descendants of the male line of the Ill masculina in infinity. Mo Lord Alexander of Ms Felice Fabbroni and likewise of Marradi Noble Patrizi Pistoiesi ...
  • And thirdly, and after the extinction of this line of masculine Mr Alexander said of Mr. Felix Fabbroni, the sons and male descendants of male masculine in a straight line was infinite Ill . mo Mr James Philip Fabbroni Marradi equally noble patricians and Pistoia.

Monsignor Angelo pressed nes also against the possibility that his death occurs before the actual establishment of the fund's above-mentioned dowry and Commanders:

"Order and wants from its Lords Infrascritti executors and the full implementation of the erection and foundation of that paragraph and given them all the opportunities and plenty of power to operate and do all that and what will be necessary to that purpose, and to set up especially for the bottom of the dowry that paragraph the Farm Place La Strada said of full ownership and relevance of that Mr testator and located in Vicariate of Marradi with all its stocks and appliances and even of lands and forests livellari them within its known boundaries, and conformity are described and watchful in your Account all'Estimo or stack of Marradi. And built and established that both that paragraph to the possession and succession on the same principle to having to have her immediately after her death her ladyship dell'Infrascritta usufructuary heir. (sister of the question ...) which still reserves and reserved the usufruct of the said Farm Road for her lifetime .... "

"In related jure et omnis said Mr testator left to leave all'Illustrissima Lady Aurelia was the Illustrious Sir Knight Benedict Leonori this wife of Sir Francis Dominic Fabbroni aforesaid and the gentlemen of her sons, all of them paintings and prints all of its relevance to the time that it will be found in Mr testator of his two homes housing in the cities of Pisa and Florence, except for the painting of St. Joseph and the Blessed Virgin who is in his bedroom in the house of his home in Pisa, which sorts and wants it to be delivered to the Monastery and Nuns of the Most Holy Annunciation Marradi for having a decent place in their church, except still painting of St. Jerome, who meditates on the death, present in the room in the Way casa di sua abitazione in Pisa , quale lasciò e lascia al Signor Conte Senatore Orlando Del Benino nel caso che detto Signor Testatore premora a lui ed eccettuati altresì due altri quadri a piacimento degli infrascritti Esecutori Testamentari …“.

"by the picture of them together with his cash and credit that will be called after Mr testator reduced by the amount of the bequest made as above to his maids and servants , to form one or more reinvestment cautious and safe .... ".

With the return on such investments and other waste from his other personal belongings independently owned property derived from the paternal heritage in Romagna, Bishop Fabbroni order by the following grants:

  • "Paul Shields ten ten shield you are delivering every year in perpetuity in the celebration of an Office of Masses in the Church of the Reverend Sisters of Marradi the repose of his soul and his dead." Publications Angelo Fabbroni were very elegant. This is an illustration of the Dissertation on the statues belonging to the story of Niobe. Moucke Printing House, Florence, 1789.

books were Angelo Fabbroni elegant. This is a 'Dissertation on the illustration of statues belonging to the tale of Niobe, printing Moucke, Florence 1789

"Other six shields similar Paoli ten shield is likewise give each year in perpetuity to these reverend monks of Marradi for having the same provide the necessary expenditures for the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the holy function of the "forty". "Other shields to shield one hundred and twenty seven pounds of each year for education in some existing convent of nuns in Tuscany for three girls of the family of Mr. Alessandro Felice Fabbroni, brothers of the Lords Dr. Caesar and the late Lord Advocate Raphael Louis Auditore Fabbrini and Mr Francesco Domenico Fabbroni and their respective descendants ... the ten years up to age twenty-one finished to make way for other girls of these families to achieve and enjoy such a grant .... "

"And after the maintenance of these three girls in that amount in all one hundred and twenty of these shields are delivering annual revenue of one hundred and fifty pounds seven other shields to shield the maintenance of some seminary, college, university or published study of three young above-mentioned three families (...) that Siino of age under the age of twelve years made up twenty-one finished and no more than to give rise to other young people to achieve and take advantage of that annual aid ...".

follow detailed instructions for the use of this allowance even if you close out all three of the above-named families. The Fabbroni hopes that the reinvestment be derived too and the number of shields seven thousand two hundred pounds to be paid for only once brothers Caesar and Raphael Fabbrini his grandchildren, being children of the sister Catherine married to Louis Fabbrini. If then advanced one more thing, the Fabbroni order to secure a reivestimento whose fruits are distributed:

"in so many qualities to be assigned each year to unmarried daughters of those three families of Mr. Alexander Mr. Happy Fabbroni, of those Lords Fabbrini brothers and Mr Francesco Domenico Fabbroni, and likewise in the absence of these, you want to give to the poor and miserable of the two zittelle Cure of San Lorenzo and Santa Maria di Marradi those peoples who are of child-birth (...) and states that the dowry for the daughters of nobles and fifty pounds seven crowns and one for poor girls and thirty shields in case of marriage Spirituale quanto nel caso di matrimonio temporale”.

The Church of Tree,

an ancient village of shepherds
in the municipality of Marradi
Claudio Mercatali

The church and rectory

S. Maria ad Nives (the snow) is the name of the church of delicate tree, a small village in the municipality of Marradi. For those who do not know we are in the valley of the ditch Scheta Voltàlto, lateral Campigno Valley, which in itself is quite isolated. So we are in the heart of 'mountains to a place where you get if you go there on purpose, because the road ends here, in front of the church. The old site is in the midst of vast meadows where the cattle once grazed. From there, the shepherds moved to Borgo Montone, near Ravenna, in contrast to the shepherds who mostly went to Campigno Roccastrada, in Maremma.
Santa Maria ad Nives fifteen years ago, was desecrated, why is a tree that has four village residents and revives a bit 'summer only. The church is not art and it is plain, however, inspires sympathy.

The small town of Tree in 1833
(paper cadastre

of Grand Duke Leopold).
is still so today.

Faenza The Curia is going to sell it and will do so when they are de sold here received the last sacraments, according to the custom which the Church follows in these cases. This from the ecclesiastical point of view is right, because they died when a church has no more faithful, but from the point In human terms it is quite sad and we hope it will not happen.
The last parish priest who lived in the rectory of tree was Don Domenico Blacks, Mengoni Don for his parishioners. Very unusual character, and ra a sort of Don Abbondio which has remained a memory of episodes made tasty:

... The sermons often said that "... the Lord is like the owl, he sees you and you do not (the owl is a bird, not very lively, which is nestled in the treetops and blends in well).
I c ontadini of that site and especially the Marquis Matteucci, owner of the farm, no n down trees, because it was too far away. Sometimes it started on Saturday and spent the night at the farm, to play cards with the Marquis to watch. One Sunday, having raised his elbow a bit 'too much previous evening, during the sermon he spoke of confusion and even crack the cups and the Marquis did not fail then to tease, with a certain number of beats Chianti, Sangiovese and vin santo.

The parish had 216 souls in 1833 and more or less remained the same for a century. Then began the depopulation, slow to fast in the thirties and fifties.
here during the First World War there was at least one death in every family. These poor shepherds counted for little and it was the right people to be sent to slaughter in the trenches. The plaque on the facade of the church law that went into sixty and back in forty-eight, half of disabled or handicapped.

Winter is a good season to film in these places, especially if there is snow and a beautiful day sun, but we must be well trained. A trek can be fun in the spring, if you want to make a dozen miles on foot. It starts and goes to Biforco Marradi (2 km), it takes Campigno and after three kilometers to reach the junction tree. The road is paved and comfortable (1.5 km). Then you can climb up to Trebbo Val dla Meda (about 2 km) as did Don Mengoni, along a path in which there is to sweat a bit 'and from there down to Marradi (5 km) along the paved road that passes from Badia del Borgo, a church old, who was one of Vallombrosa monks, with its beautiful Romanesque bell tower, the opposite of St. Mary.

MERZ LOM in 2011 to PEOPLE

211

Marradi February 2011
LOM in 2011 MERZ
to People THE EVENING OF WAITING FOR ALL THREE EVENTS February 28:
clemency of the weather, a very good polenta and extraction of the big raffle.
Program: dusk (18 - 18.30): Turning on the fire, followed by extraction and polenta

"Nature deficit, luck mutatur, Deus omnia cernit" This beautiful phrase is thought to be engraved inside a ring of the Emperor Hadrian, sums up the letter and spirit of the LOM in MERZ "this year. In fact, the nature in the sense of meteorology, it may but must not betray, luck is fickle, but everyone hopes that there is friend and who is over all look and judge.
the last evening of February next Monday to speak, to populate the lumen of the traditional bonfire in March will be followed by a good (but expensive) and polenta dall'attesissima extraction of the big raffle, organized by the diocese to raise funds needed to continue the renovation of the parish rectory.
This explains the opening paragraph, and in this case, a solemn and ancient phrase is not bad: the rites for good weather and good luck, if written in Latin, are most effective.
whole valley of the Lamone now know this because many rich lottery willing activists have beaten the territory to place thousands of tickets and the action will continue until the evening groped for the extraction to reach the "all sales". It will be a tough race but exciting and fun because the responses of those who are to be provided tickets are always the most imaginative and restrictive: they have already given-me-Carlo; Mary-yesterday went and I bought 10 -,-I have already 40! -,-I-2 from last month, but 2-few-,-well will be few, but if everyone bought 2 head It's easy to sell 10,000. "
In this race free free-range hitters stood out big sellers with half thousand tickets placed from Faenza to Florence and Verghereto Castiglion of Pepoli, the medium and small vendors, from 400 to 100 tickets, and ending the non-sellers which, although not to bring entire blocks have bought a good deal for themselves and now I look forward to be kissed by luck so generous masochism.
those who hope in the dreams of fortune have a nice trip to Prague to breathe the air romantic and multicultural city of Kepler, Dvorak, Kafka and Zatopek or rest for seven days on Lake Garda or Palinuro. It is easy to see that the rewards are substantial and numerous, then those who buy the last tickets has the advantage of the chance to wait only a few days or even a couple of hours, as we know the wait wears more power.
who organized the festival, visit the sites for several days weather forecasts traditionally astronomical law of Brother and I guess I always find favorable responses. The writer follows the road-probabilistic superstitious: for at least three years we've had winters as they used to be and, in particular, in the last 4 months we only had rain, snow, cold, Galaverna fog and then the next 28 should be nice and mild.
is clear that the seer has forecast the future, but searches of the political animus that, according to Churchill, is one who makes predictions and can explain then why not always come true.
Obviously we're playing on time and in time, on luck and fortune, but we know that the spirit of "Lom at merz" is to meet again for the good of the parish (this year even more so) to keep alive a beautiful and meaningful tradition and to enjoy all the defendants, which we hope will be many, the polenta noble peoples, intense flavor and moderate price, and so, in conclusion, we have also played on the polenta and polenta.
